Good Mackerel fishing, Cod, Blackfish And Ling Caught

Mackerel fishing was good again on Wednesday and if the weather holds out should continue this week.
Thursday, the Miss Belmar Princess  had a very good drift right off the gate with multple stringers coming over the rail. This action lasted for an hour. They searched around after that a little, found an area of them again and banged away. Fishing yesterday wasnt the FULL massacre we had the day before , but it was above average for what this season has been. On Sat. the forecast looks favorable 15-20 NW 2-4.
SAILING DAILY FOR MACKEREL @ 7:30 AM..

The Gambler from Point Pleasant reported a mixed bag on their Wednesday Southern Blackfish trip. Most anglers had a nice variety of Blackfish, Ling and Cod. Check their schedule as they have a great schedule for the winter targeting blackfish, cod, mackerel and ling.

Codfishing slowed out of Montauk this week but should improve after the full moon. Fishing should be good by mid week as concentrations of the codfish are still in the area off Block Island. Be prepared with jigs and baits as some days they are feeding on the herring in the area.
